A truly exceptional filly.
We are over the top about Dancing til Dawn. She has the superb conformation, and the exceptional movement that we were hoping for with this breeding. In addition she has that certain “look at me” presence that is sure to make her stand out in the show ring.
Dancing til Dawn’s sire Donarweiss GGF was the Champion of his 30 Day Stallion Performance Test . In 2008 at the end of the dressage show season he ranked 14th in the nation in the USDF all breeds awards and 1st in the American Hanoverian Awards. 2009 he won the USDF Region 8 Prix St. Georges Championship. He also ranked 3rd in the AHS All Breed awards at Intermediaire l and at only 8 years old! This year he has moved up to Intermediaire ll and is continuing to be a very serious competitor winning or placing in most of his classes at this level!
Donarweiss is out of De Niro, the 2009 German Hanoverian Stallion of the Year. De Niro was Reserve Champion of his Stallion Performance Test with a score of 141.93. He also had a distinguished FEI career with over 24 wins at the German S level. De Niro has produced over 100 “States Premium” mares and 25 “Elite Stallion” sons as well as many upper level performance horses. He is known for passing on wonderful ridability and movement as well as athleticism to his offspring.
Donarweiss’s dam sire is the famous Trakehner stallion, Hohenstein, (by Caprimond) who also was Reserve Champion of his Stallion Performance Test. Hohenstein is known as an exceptional sire and his progeny include His Highness who sold for 555,000 Euros!
Dancing til Dawn’s dam is our wonderful broodmare Winesome, who is also Cabana Boy’s grand dam. She is by the world famous Hanoverian Stallion of the Century, Weltmeyer. He currently has over 80 approved sons standing at stud.
Winesome’s dam sire Werther was Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 1992, and has often been called “Versatile Werther” for his ability to jump as well as move. This versatility is the key to athleticism. Not only does Werther pass this trait on to his progeny, but he is known for passing on excellent temperament and rideability as well.
