Champion Colt at the Hanoverian Inspection at Hilltop Farm, August 8, 2009
As the judges commented at his inspection "Rousseleux is perfect in every way". Rousseleux is a wonderful bay colt with truly striking movement. He is built for dressage! In the trot he uses his hocks well and has lots of suspension. His canter and is well balanced and very expressive. He has that "Look at Me!" attitude, and everyone does!
His dam, Fabulieren is an impressive black mare with all the presence of ES Fabriano, her grandsire who was known as a "Top List" sire for both dressage horses and jumpers. Her sire ES Fabuleux, shows the movement and athleticism of his sire. At his stallion testing in Germany, Fabuleux received 9's for temperament, rideability, willingness to work, walk, and trot...and 10 for his canter! EM Davinia, Fabulieren's dam, brings in the Donnerhall line and passes on exceptional elastic movement and powerful hind quarters. Fabulieren has the awesome movement and jumping ability handed down from both sides of her pedigree. Her conformation and gaits are very correct with an excellent shoulder and powerful hind end. She has an exceptionally well balanced canter. Rousseleux is her first foal.
Rousseleux's sire, Rousseau, is a well known KWPN dressage sire and competitor now approved for Hanoverian breeding. He is Olympic Ferro's most influential son and is one of the leading producers of dressage horses in the Netherlands. Several of his sons have been Champion stallions both in the Netherlands and in Germany. Rousseau is renowned for passing on his wonderful character, athletic ability and awesome gaits to his progeny.
Our Rousseleux is a wonderful combination of his dam and sire and we truly believe he has upper FEI potential. He should mature to around 16.2 hands.

Inspection Comments
Rousseluex was the Champion Colt at the Hanoverian Inspection at Hilltop Farm on August 8, 2009. The judges adored him, stating that he was "perfect in every way". Even though he was "butt high" at the time of the inspection, they raved about the strength in his loins and hind end that allows him to naturally push from behind. The German judges really appreciated the impulsion and lift they saw in his stride. In addition, they felt his leg and over all conformation and was about perfect! We are very proud of our Rousseluex and believe he has a great future as a riding horse and stallion prospect.
