Winterprinz is the son of the Hanoverian Verband’s 2002 “Stallion of the Year”, Warkant. Winterprinz is sired out of a States Premium mare awarded Champion Three-Year-Old Mare of Germany. As a foal, Winteprinz was judged as the German Champion and was the Reserve European Champion. He was licensed for breeding at Medigen, Germany, where he was judged Champion in dressage of the 100-Day Testing and awarded 9’s for rideability and character. Winterprinz was imported into the United States as a four-year-old in 1998.
A glistening true black, Winterprinz’s character, correct conformation and fantastic work ethic are evident in his outstanding show record and in the foals he has produced nationwide. Together with his owner/rider/trainer Carolyn Adams, Winterprinz’s competition credits include: the Futurity and CDS First Level Champion in 1999; USDF Second Level Champion in 2001; USDF Third Level Champion in 2002; USDF and CDS Fourth Level Champion in 2003 and the Prix St. Georges USDF Horse of the Year for 2004. Even while competing in the “High-Competition” divisions at numerous CDI’s in 2005, Winterprinz achieved the AHS Champion and USDF Reserve Champion for Intermediaire I. Winterprinz’s foals continue to capture top honors at their respective inspections, breed shows and dressage competitions. Winterprinz is licensed by the German Hanoverian Verband, the American Hanoverian Society, the ISR/Oldenburg N.A. registries and is accepted by the KWPN for breeding.
