Liberty Gold is a descendent of the Lauries Crusader xx, Woermann and Wendekreis bloodlines. His pedigree reads like a Who’s Who of modern refinement, movement, and rideability. At age two, Liberty Gold attained the highest distinction for a Hanoverian colt of his age group as Champion of the Hanoverian Licensing at Verden (November, 2003). He took highest honors, excelling in his basic gaits, free jumping, conformation, and overall suppleness. Liberty Gold was then enrolled in the 11-Month Stallion Performance Testing at Adelheidsdorf. At the conclusion of the testing, the German judging commission rewarded Liberty Gold’s performance with highest scores for temperament, character, willingness to work and his individual gaits. He was crowned Champion of the 42 participating stallions with a final score of 147.75 for dressage/rideability and 140.93 overall.
Since his importation, Liberty Gold has continued his winning ways in the American show rings. At his first USEF show at Training Level, Liberty scored 78.46% and was Training Level Champion and overall high score. Four months later, Liberty Gold made history at Dressage at Devon. Undefeated in all of his classes in hand and under saddle, Liberty Gold emerged as 2005 Grand Champion as well as the 2005 USDF/Cosequin East Coast Stallion Champion. Liberty Gold is the son of the great Londonderry, Champion of the 1997 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing. As a four-year-old in 1999, Londonderry won the riding horse contest of the German Riding Championships in Verden and later that year he won the Federal Championships of German Riding Horses, or Bundeschampionate, in Warendorf. Two years later, Londonderry also won the Reserve Championship in the six-year-old division in the Bundeschampionate.
