A true FEI Dressage Prospect!
This gorgeous gelding is well muscled with super conformation and correct legs. He is already showing the exceptonal movement expected from his bloodlines. His sire Bordeaux was reserve Champion at his 100-Day testing and had a successful FEI dressage career which included being long-listed with the USET. His progeny are competing successfully in all levels of dressage, including Grand Prix. Others have been successful in the hunter ring, as well as in the breed ring. "Bordeaux babies" are known for their wonderful temperament and trainability. Brentina, the USEF Horse of the Year ridden by dressage rider Debbie McDonald, is also from the Bolero/Grande bloodline.

Broadway Dancer's dam, Winesome, is the daughter of the legendary Weltmeyer, who is considered by many to be the most influential Hanoverian stallion of the century. He was champion of his 100 day testing, the Bundeschampion, and the DLG winner. He was the Hanoverian Stallion of the year in 1998 and the USEF number 1 stallion in 2003, even though he stood in Germany. It is noteworthy that Winsome is the dam of Britania (Bordeaux/Weltmeyer) who is the mother of the well known Cabana Boy. Buddy is Britania's full brother.

Broadway Dancer has super gaits with awesome suspension. The piaffe and passage are natural for him. He has a great mind with lots of self confidence and presence. He adores people and wants to learn. With his excellent conformation, friendly attitude and lovely movement, he has it all. And what a great face! He is a true FEI Dressage prospect.

Inspection and Show Results

On November 5th, Broadway Dancer (Bordeaux/Weltmeyer) went to his Hanoverian foal inspection at Morven Park. Not only was he the Top Colt but the Top Foal as well. The Mid Atlantic Hanoverian Breeders Club had their mare show at the same time and he was also the Foal Champion! The judges really thought he was something special. They both summed him up as "incredibly well balanced in all respects, one of the most balanced foals we've seen" They were impressed by the correctness the conformation of both his front and hind legs. They also thought he had a fine saddle position with a well set neck and a very attractive head. The Judges applauded him for his presence and superb movement. They commended him for the correctness of his trots both in his rhythm and balance! In addition, they loved the elasticity and expressiveness of his trot. Needless to say we are thrilled with our "Buddy". I was especially please with how well he handled the whole situation of showing. He was weaned about a month ago and it was his first time off the farm. He walk right on to the trailer both coming and going and took the whole showing experience in stride! He definitely has the character and temperament we were hoping for.
