Top dressage prospect with awesome movement and presence
"Redick" has terrific and athletic conformation and a superb top line with a well placed neck and big shoulder. He has that awesome floating movement his family line is known for! On his first day outside he not only showed us his high quality trot and canter, but came down to the fence to do a piaffe and passage before trotting away! He is a credit to his heritage.
Royal Prince, his sire, was Reserve Champion at both his 30 and 70 day stallions testing in Germany. He earned 10's for his rideability and walk and 9's for his trot, canter and willingness to work. In addition he ranked 2nd in the dressage phase and 10th in the jumping phase. Competing in 2004 as a 5 year old, he won the USEF/Markel National Young Horse Championship. In addition he returned to Germany to compete in the 2004 FEI World Championships for Young Horses where he placed 4th.
"Redick" is out of our main studbook Hanoverian broodmare Boario. Her lineage is a Who's Who of the best in Hanoverian bloodlines, including Weltmeyer, Werther, Bolero and Grande. She scored an overall 7 at her inspection and a 6.72 on her Mare Performance Test. She is a full sister to Britania, dam of the champion young horse Cabana Boy.
As well as athletic, "Redick" is smart and friendly with lots of personality. We believe "JJ" is truly a quality youngster and an upper level dressage prospect.
SOLD!Congratulations to Carol A. Petrone of Pa on the purchase of Redick.
Inspection Comments
At the Hilltop Hanoverian inspection, Redick showed both a lovely canter and trot. The judges commented that he was a quality long legged colt but perhaps his shoulder could be a hair longer. In a conversation after the inspection, the American judge, George Walker, commented that Redick was a first-rate colt and with the quality and elasticity of the movement he displayed, Redick has the ability to be a top performance horse!
