ES Bordeaux is by Bolero, who stood only nine years but has to his credit 51 approved stallions and 73 States Premium mares. His dam's sire, Grande, ranks on the German "Eternal Top Ten Sire List" whose progeny have dominated European competitions in addition to successfully competing in the Olympics in dressage as well as show jumping. 

His progeny have won on the line in breed shows including Get of Sire at Devon. His two-year-old Benne was 1998 Hanoverian Colt Champion at Devon. Brianna was co-champion of the 1999 Hanoverian Inspection Tour. EM Bellisima was second in the U.S. for her Mare Performance Test in 1999.

Inspection and Show Results

In 1991, Bordeaux was Reserve Champion at the 100-Day Test at November Hill Farm, with a rideability score of 145.96. Bordeaux was a successful FEI dressage horse with numerous wins that include USET Festival of Champions, Raleigh CDI-W, Silver Medalist for the U.S. team in the Can-Am Challenge at Devon, 1999 USDF/AHS Intermediate Freestyle Champion and 2000 USDF/AHS Intermediate Champion. He was on the USET Developing Horse List.

This gorgeous gelding is well muscled with super conformation and correct legs. He is already showing the exceptonal movement expected from his bloodlines. His sire Bordeaux was reserve Champion at his 100-Day testing and had a successful FEI dressage career which included being long-listed with the USET. His progeny are competing successfully in all levels of dressage, including Grand Prix. Others have been successful in the hunter ring, as well as in the breed ring. "Bordeaux babies" are known for their wonderful temperament and trainability. Brentina, the USEF Horse of the Year ridden by dressage rider Debbie McDonald, is also from the Bolero/Grande bloodline.
